Recent advances and new guidelines on hyperspectral and multispectral image fusion

Hyperspectral image (HSI) with high spectral resolution often suffers from low spatial owing to the limitations of imaging sensors. Image fusion is an effective and economical way enhance HSI, which combines HSI higher multispectral (MSI) same scenario. In past years, many MSI algorithms are introduced obtain high-resolution HSI. However, it lacks a full-scale review for newly proposed approaches. To tackle this problem, work gives comprehensive new guidelines HSI–MSI fusion. According characteristics methods, they categorized as four categories, including pan-sharpening based approaches, matrix factorization tensor representation deep convolution neural network We make detailed introduction, discussions, comparison methods in each category. Additionally, existing challenges possible future directions presented.
